Module 1: Welcome & Course Overview

Module 2: Code of Ethics & Teaching Philosophy
As you embark on your journey to becoming a certified Pilates instructor, understanding and embracing a strong code of ethics and personal teaching philosophy is essential. These foundational elements will guide your interactions with clients, fellow instructors and the broader Pilates community.

Module 3: Pilates Principles & Fundamentals
Pilates is a comprehensive exercise method that focuses on developing core strength, flexibility and overall body awareness through controlled movements. As you embark on your journey as a Pilates instructor, it's crucial to understand the fundamental principles that underpin the practice. These principles not only guide your approach to teaching but also enhance your effectiveness as an instructor, allowing you to provide a safe and enriching experience for your clients. Breath, Centering, Control, Concentration, Flow & Creativity, Precision, Alignment and Integration— these guide every movement you teach and practice.

Module 4: Applied Anatomy & Biomechanics

Module 5: Reformer Introduction
Here is your Insight to the Reformer Machine itself and by the end of this module, you will: ✅ Be able to confidently introduce the reformer to new clients. ✅ Know how to adjust the reformer bed to ensure proper alignment and safety. ✅ Gain an understanding of the reformer and how they impact resistance and movement. In this next video, Bon is going to introduce you to a Reformer, there are many kinds of reformers so please note springs and heights of the beds are different depending on what the studio preference. Do keep in mind they are all designed to offer resistance, increase core strength, support mobility and promote flexibility. The one in this demonstration is custom made for this studio.

Module 6: Core and Abdominals
In this module we'll be taking you through some fundamental Reformer Pilates exercises for your Core and Abdominals. Bon is going to break down the set up of each exercise, the springs used, the position for optimal body alignment and the movement itself. Refer to your workbook for the exercises, this is the time to start taking notes about cues, the springs, the layering options and your general take aways from the individual exercises. Tip to take away: These exercises layer so well together, keep that in mind for the class planning throughout the course.

Module 7: Upper Body
In this module we'll be taking you through some fundamental Reformer Pilates exercises for your Upper Body. In this module we'll be taking you through some fundamental Reformer Pilates exercises for your Lower Body. Module 9 : Mobility & Stretch
In this module we'll be taking you through some fundamental Reformer Pilates exercises for your Mobility and Stretch. Bon is going to break down the set up of each stretch, the springs used, the position for optimal body alignment and the movement itself. Refer to your workbook for the exercises, this is the time to start taking notes about cues, the springs, the layering options and your general take aways from the individual stretch. Tip to take away: Create a full class dedicated to Stretch is easier than you think and it is a fantastic way to use the Reformer.

Module 10: Mat Intro
Insight to Teaching on the Mat and by the end of this module, you will: ✅ Be able to confidently introduce mat-based Pilates to new clients. ✅ Understand how to utilize body weight and props effectively to enhance movement. ✅ Gain proficiency in cueing and demonstrating exercises on the mat. ✅ Understand the principles of Pilates as applied specifically within mat practice. ✅ Learn to incorporate Breath, Centering, Control, Concentration, Flow & Creativity, Precision, Alignment, and Integration to develop your teaching style.

Module 13: Mat Pilates Exercises – Hips and Legs
In this module we'll be taking you through some fundamental Mat Pilates exercises that focus on strengthening, stabilising & mobilising the hips & legs through dynamic and targeted Mat Pilates exercises. You’ll work on improving lower body alignment, enhancing joint mobility, and developing balanced muscle tone across the glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps, and inner thighs. Bon is going to break down the set up of each exercise, the springs used, the position for optimal body alignment and the movement itself. Refer to your workbook for the exercises, this is the time to start taking notes about cues, the layering options and your general take aways from the individual exercises. Tip to takeaway; Designed to support both strength and flexibility, this series also brings attention to knee tracking and pelvic stability essential for everyday movement, athletic performance, and injury prevention.
